David de Gea’s transfer saga has captured the imagination of the football universe. Will he head to Real Madrid or stay put in Manchester?

Nobody has an answer to this million-dollar question.

Well now it seems as though manager Louis van Gaal has made up his mind to sell the goalkeeper and has even informed the board of directors about the same.

Negotiations between the two clubs yet to reach the final stage. However, the growing uncertainty about his future seems to be weighing on the Spaniard’s mind.

De Gea made several errors in the friendly against PSG during the pre-season tour, which seems to have convinced Van Gaal that the best option would be to sell him.

There are several ways in which this deal could now pan out. United may want Sergio Ramos in exchange for the player. Also, it could be just a cash only deal.

Also United will have to sign a goalkeeper if De Gea leaves. There could be a problem for them to find a replacement, as the Premier League will commence on August 8.

Sergio Romero, signed last week, is a replacement for Victor Valdez and not the club’s number one choice between the sticks.

This long drawn out saga can possibly go on till the end of the transfer window period. But for the sake of all the stakeholder’s involved, the two clubs must reach a decision as soon as possible.

Saturday Barclays Premier League Betting Tips

Every weekend the Barcalys Premier League promises throw up a lot of surprises. This week promises to be no different with three mouth-watering clashes. In the two early kick-offs, we have Norwich take on Crystal Palace and West Ham hosting Fulham in a London derby. The final game of Saturday has Newcastle playing host to West Brom.

Fixture: Norwich v Crystal Palace
Venue: Carrow Road
Time: 15:00 BST

Both teams are coming off similar results in the last six games. They have just won one game in their last six attempts and are woefully short on confidence. They have lost four games and drawn one. Which means both Norwich and Palace have just secured four points out of a possible 18 in their last six games.  What makes matters more interesting is that the only win for Norwich has come at home while that for Palace has come on the road away from home.

Crystal Palace form guide: L L L L D W

This game looks a tough one to predict. We are going for another win on the road for Crystal Palace.

Fixture: West Ham v Fulham
Venue: Boleyn Ground
Time: 15:00 BST

In what is a bottom of the table clash, West Ham taking on Fulham promises to be a high voltage clash of the two London teams. Fulham are coming off a very torrid run of poor results having lost their entire last for fixtures. Even West Ham has lost their last two games of which one was at home. Both teams would not want to lose this match as it would either drag West Ham into the relegation zone or push Fulham further into the last three places.

Despite both teams lacking good form and consistency, we at 72betting are going for a home win for the Hammers.

Fixture: Newcastle v West Brom
Venue: St James’ Park
Time: 17:00 BST

In the last game of Saturday, new and resurgent Newcastle takes on West Brom at St James’ Park. Newcastle have been on a inspired run off late after a slow start to the campaign. They have taken maximum points on four occasions out of a possible six having just lost once. West Brom on the other hand have just registered one win while not managing to win any games on the road.

West Brom: D D L W D D

It would be impossible to bet against this Newcastle United side in such red-hot form against a poor West Brom side that have completely blow cold off late. We at 72betting are going for a comfortable home win for the Geordies.
