EURO 2016, Group A: France vs Albania – Preview

Date: Wednesday, June 15

France take on Albania in their second match of the tournament at the Stade Vélodrome on Wednesday. The hosts will be looking to build on their opening day win over Romania.

Albania were beaten 0-1 by Switzerland in their first match of the Euros. They played 54 minutes of that match with only 10 men.

The two sides have met twice so far. Interestingly, Les Blues have never beaten the Albanians.

France are overwhelming favorites to win the match. Albania will have to defend resolutely to get a positive result.

Gianni De Biasi will be without his captain for the all-important match.

Didier Deschamps will be hoping to improve his team's performance against Albania.
